I colored the eagle first because she was the most challenging. I was trying to conceal the fact she was made of several pieces of paper. I also did the rat, since he was made of several materials (vellum for the mechanical wings). All I had left were the less complicated/smaller characters.

Here, as I was starting to add the backgrounds, I realized the elements should be closer together.

This was the final product. I think there could’ve been more contrast as it’s a lot of white, but overall I’m happy with the result.
Characters (left to right, by levels): Drifter, Beowulf, Firefly, Copperhead. Unnamed cow, unnamed border collie (Harmony’s mother), Sugar/KFB4-65M#1, Magnolia, Diesel. Warfarin, Harmony, unnamed bobcat, unnamed goose.
